Pair of Selective Access Module for Asian hornet trap

Pair of polypropylene Selective Access Modules (MAS) for equipping the trap capture cage (to be built yourself, see this page ).

They will be fixed on a trap and will allow the selective introduction of Asian Hornets (AF).
Constitution: A pyramidal truncated funnel attached to a mesh base plate. The mesh allows bees and other insects smaller than the Asian hornet to pass through the mesh and more easily when exiting than when entering thanks to an adapted slope of the mesh and in the best conditions of ease and speed. The meshed Jabeprode MAS allow the circulation and mixing of effluvia. The MAS will be fixed to the support, after cutting a window of approximately 125X180mm, by screwing or riveting ( e.g. on wood, plastic ), by gluing ( polyurethane glue resin or neoprene for the plastic support ).

The thin and selective end of the mesh pyramid trunk, directed towards the inside of the trap allows the easy passage of the queens of FA because perfectly calibrated to their thorax while prohibiting that of a queen of European hornet a little higher by 1mm. The depth of the pyramid trunk of the MAS and its totally aerated structure ( mixture of effluvia ) is long enough to prevent the FA from finding the exit ( principle of the trap ). The distance between the 2 ends of the MAS must not be less than 80mm.

This pair is sold at the price of €10 by Jabeprode (Denis Jaffré). Denis Jaffré exceptionally authorizes us to distribute these MAS at the price of €16 to support our collective action to fight against the Asian hornet .
