Varroa counting tray

If you decide to treat your ecological hives against varroa, the varroa counting tray allows you to diagnose the infestation rate.
It is fully meshed with oak frame and sliding wooden closing plate.
This bottom plate temporarily replaces the floor during the counting period and prevents the varroa from rising: when it falls from the hive, it passes through the mesh and cannot go back up into the hive.
The sliding closure plate equipped with a sheet coated with milking grease (to stick the varroa) allows you to easily control and know the state of infestation of the colony by counting on the plate. To be carried out over a period of approximately 5 days.

We do not recommend using this tray outside the counting period (rising humidity, possibility of introducing parasites into the part not accessible to the bees).
